O filme foi limitado, por razões técnicas a apenas 10 min de duração; O percurso inicia-se na Porte Dauphine, passa pelo Louvre, e acaba na Basilica de Sacré Coeur. Nenhuma rua foi encerrada nem especialmente preparada. Claude Lelouch fez o filme sem autorização. O Piloto, cujo nome nunca foi revelado, completou o percurso em cerca de 9 min, atingindo velocidades de 250 Km/h nalguns pontos do percurso. O filme mostra também algumas passagens de sinais vermelhos, tangentes a peões e condução em contra-mão em artérias de sentido único. Na sequência da projecção pública do filme, o realizador foi preso, mas nunca revelou a identidade do condutor e o filme passou á clandestinidade até ter sido editado em DVD há uns anos atrás.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;
